DVR Response Extremely Slow

Hi,

My X1 DVR has a 5-8 second delay when responding to the remote. I tried sleep mode and waited 30 minutes but that did not fix the issue. No version or Stub update has been applied according to the About screen.

Any ideas? Do I need to perform a restart of the box or something else?

when you press a button on the remote the press is sent to a comcast server outside your home that then responds telling your set top box what to execute (except volume, mute, input). The delay is typically high noise and/or low signal levels somewhere between the set top box and the comcast server. do you have other set top boxes? if so, do they have that same delay? you can use the Xfinity TV remote app as a 'remote' and play/pause etc and see if the command is executed nearly instantly (the app uses the internet directly).

@Rustyben thank you and I tried another standard X1 box (non-DVR) there is no delay. I did notice the STB time stamp for my DVR is 4/22 but the standard box is 5/15 if that matters. 
thoughts on next action? I have not tried the Xfinity TV Remote App since the other box is working correctly.

@Rustyben @Update: I left my DVR box on again yesterday night and when I checked it this morning everything is back to normal remote response times. Thanks for your help.
