Dvr recordings disappearing and reappearing
Recordings on our dvr appear and randomly disappear. Especially frustrating when we’re ready and looking forward to watching. :( When they’re missing we’re well within our space limit. They’re not in deleted folder either. Just gone. Then back next day or even back same day on different dvr. But then gone same night. It’s crazy. Comcast needs to figure this out!

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it

Same thing has happened to me several times. It happens at night with the "Daily Update" I lost 48 shows one night earlier this month, and another 4 last night. Memory was only at 72%. Calling 'Customer Service' is useless. They pushed me into letting them come out and change my DVR box (the new one is noisier), and then I lost 35 of my saved recording — that never came back. Since recordings are now stored in "the Xfinity cloud" – not the box itself, I'm going to try the suggestion "unplug the power to the DVR box" every night. It will be a real PIA but I'm going to give it a try. ----I finally got the "Tech support" today and insisted they give me a CREDIT on my account for the programs they deleted. The max credit was $32.72.----- Maybe if everyone insisted on "Money Back/Credit" they would realize that it would be cheaper to actually fix THEIR problem. Perhaps if everyone made a formal complaint to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, the government would force Xfinity to fix their issue or levy a huge $ fine. It's all about the money.
