DVR recording times are off

OK it looks like this problem has been going on for over a year. I just started experiencing it about a month ago. The DVR recording times are off. The  smart resume on the commercials is off on the commercials is off by about one and a 1/2 commercials maybe 45 seconds.  So once you fast forward through the commercial there is still about 45 seconds of commercial left. So that makes the end of the show off by about 3 to 5 minutes. Don't tell me to go in and adjust the start and end times of my programs . I have been using the DVR and smart resume for quite a long time now and never had to do this until the last month.  It is happening on all  channels and all shows. It should  be fixed by now. Fix it!

I am so sorry about the recordings! I can understand how that would be frustrating! I know you said you already did try something, have you also just tried to reboot the box to see if that fixes the issue?

I have this same issue. last night shows show up but there are only 15-30 minutes showing. I logged in on my computer and it shows 62 minutes but is I try to watch it it starts over half way through.

I have the commercial/smart scan issue also and miss the ending of the programs.

How do I fix this and are all of the shows that are recorded pretty much messed up?

I am also recently experiencing this issue on some but not all dvr recordings. The smart resume is off by a minute or so as well as the overall recording. Basically it seems to be recording early, as the end of whatever previous show was on is at the start of the recording, then at a commercial break it appears in smart resume as if you should have already been at commercial, it stops to play and I have to sit through at least one commercial sometimes more, then the end of the show is cut off completely. It is not recording the final minute or so of the show. I have modified some recordings to now add extra minutes so I don’t miss the end but I should not have to do that.

I don't watch that much TV unless the other half is here, she is the TV watcher. I did take off the Smart resume and she will just have to FF through the commercials and hit play.

I think it is set up that the recording of a program starts a minute early, and the smart resume being off I wonder if that does not cause the show we are watching to end early. We will see when she gets home if the whole show is recorded and can be viewed with out smart resume.

I’m experiencing the same for about 7-10 days.  End of movies are cut off and fast forwarding thru commercials timing is off.
