DVR recording longer than 1 hour won't Fast Forward
I have the exact same problem as Just_Shoot_Me did last month where on programs longer than 1 hour on my DVR I can't fast forward or do anything after the 48 minute mark on the recording. How do you fix this? His looks to have been fixed but the post doesn't list what the solution was. Mine has been going on for about 2 months now whether it is on my main X1 or two smaller boxes. Thanks for any help...

Are you sure it was a DVR recording and had not reverted to OnDemand? That sounds a bit like how many OnDemand titles are actually short, but the commercial inserts make them long and confuse the time bar.

Hi greene3417, it certainly sounds like there's an issues with the DVR or backend system if you have this same issue on all of your equipment. Have you tried rebooting the DVR to see if that clears up the problem?

I see multiple postings about this problem but is there a solution? Mine starting doing this in approx November 2020. No fast forwarding after the 48:10 mark. Everything has been rebooted. It is just the dvr and has nothing to do with the on demand feature. Posting a solution would be great as there appears to be multiple threads with the same issue none of wich post solutions. Thank you!

Welcome to the Xfinity forums, @xfin20! I love being able to fast forward through recordings so I'd be upset if this was happening. Rest assured, we'll stick with you here until we reach a resolution. Please send me a Private Message with your name and address so we can troubleshoot the issue together.
