dvr playback

  I'm having a 4 K box dvr playback problem. My recorded shows are pixelated quite a bit in spots with sound drop outs. Watching live or on demand is fine. Do I need a new box?

blackjim I know how important my DVR Recordings are so I would be reaching out if I were having this trouble too. We are happy to help. Here are a few questions:
Are you seeing this on all recordings?
What steps have you taken as far as troubleshooting? 
Do you see any pixelated live shows?

I'm seeing pixelation randomly. Might have several times during a show or maybe just once. Seems to be about evert show

 Live shows and on demand are fine. 

 I see nothing to troubleshoot, Signal and new HDMI cable are fine or live and on-demand wouldn't work fine as they do.

 I just feel I have a bad box.

  Click "Sign In" if necessary


 Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging


 Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon


 The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there


 As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list


 An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line


Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window


 • Press Enter to send it
