DVR playback

My DVR recorded shows will only play back on the family room tv. I can see them listed on the bedroom tv but they will not play- I get an error message. I also cannot stream them from the Xfinity streaming app on my phone  when on home WiFi. Again I see them listed but they will not play. If I disconnect from home WiFi then I can stream them on my phone! So strange! I’ve spent two hours on the phone with Xfinity with no resolution! My husband went into the store. They sent us a new box for the bedroom which did not resolve the issue (and would not explain the lack of streaming from home WiFi in the phone app). Any other thoughts? Thanks!!

Hi @user_a55fbc Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us through Xfinity forums! Oh no! How concerning! What error message did you receive when trying to watch recorded shows on the bedroom TV?

Error message was that playback was not available. Interestingly enough spent two hours on phone with Xfinity- they sent signals to the box twice without resolution. Had me unplug and restart box without resolution. My husband went to the store where they ordered a replacement box and supposedly a new gateway. New box arrived but did not resolve the problem. Gateway was never ordered. I decided to reboot the existing gateway and problem solved!!!! Wish they would have asked me to do that initially!!! Lots of time wasted. Thanks for your reply.
