dvr playback of baseball games stop in middle
I subscribe to MLB Extra Innings, which gives me access to all the MLB games. In the past two days, I have recorded 4 games. Playback of all 4 has failed. One didn't record at all, and the other 3 start playing, but then stop somewhere in the middle of the game. If I replay the games, they stop at the same point each time.
I called Comcast to complain & ask for help. After about 15 minutes of the usual "let me check you signal level", try resetting your dvr, etc., I was passed to an "advanced" support person. After another 20 minutes, they had no solution, and offered me a credit on my bill.
In my location (San Jose, CA) the MLB games are on channels 3001 - 3030, and I believe these are all "IP" channels which record in the cloud, not on my local DVR.
Both support people I talked to claimed nobody else had reported this problem. Has anyone else seen this problem with recording MLB Extra Innings channels, or has anyone else been successful in recording and then playing back an entire game?

Sporting Events should be recorded manually. Try recording the games manually:

Max limit is now 12 hours.

I can only confirm that all recordings are cloud recordings. Since I have to FF at 2x to get through a 4 hour game and the cloud recording at that speed is "herky jerky" and unwatchable, I gave up trying to record MLB extra innings preview or even consider buying the package. And this is coming from someone who had ordered it every year until the changeover last season.

I have that problem as well. Not one successful playback. Always stops about 3rd inning. I hope there is a successful resolution soon. Waste of money for me. I only watch recorded games.

That is not the solution. We’ve all recorded manually

I'm just going to post on all the threads with these problems.
Oregon - first time I've ordered an add on package - MLB EI - watching live seems to be fine but the cloud recordings just don't function. Skipping portions of games and every game I've tried to watch from the recording stops somewhere in the middle of the game and then is irretrievable. Last night I recorded the LAD-SD game from both feeds and they both stopped in the bottom of the second then I was able to watch the rest of the game live but in real time it was in the 7th so the 2nd to 7th was lost to me.
Definitely an issue with the cloud recordings and not the boxes or connections and is also a problem with (judging from other posts) NBA and NHL. There is also a post from a year ago with problems with the cricket channel recordings disappearing, another 3000 channel.
Should these options even be offered to consumers for extra payment if they are non-functional? How many people complain and get refunds and how many people just accept a faulty product? I imagine it's a business decision that more money can be made from a faulty product because the vast, vast majority of consumers will not complain.

Not only does the problem persist, it happened last season as well (which kept me from subscribing at the MLB package after the free preview week).
Again this season (beginning with Opening Day), I had recorded games just stop after anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 innings and there was no way to retrieve them.
So I again declined to purchase the MLB Extra Innings package.
Comcast apparently has no answers and no solutions---except to lie to you when they said no one else had reported this problem.
I am now going to contact the MLB Commissioner's Office ---after all, it's THEIR product that's being messed up by Comcast.
