Dvr not working properly

My DVR service has stopped recording my series all of a sudden and will not let us record other shows. Is this equipment failure?

@user_lfvcs7 Thanks for making this post for us. Our apologies for the DVR issues you're having. I use my DVR daily and understand how important it's. I see your direct message and will continue to assist you there.

After hours of signals being sent, we decided to take our cable box to the regional store and swap it for a new box. (We were told this would probably solve the problem.) Unfortunately the new box will not record programs either.  At the store we were informed that multiple people in our area had come in about this issue and about missing channels, which we also are missing channels, (for the last ten days Xfinity has been "doing work in our area to enhance service").  We were told at the store that there must be a loose connection somewhere in our neighborhood where they were working.  We've been on chats with the assistant, people elsewhere in customer service and direct messaging as the result of my initial post.  Hours, over several days.  If the problems do not get fixed by the end of the week, we are cancelling and looking for other options.  It is ridiculous to pay so much for so little.
