Thanks Rustyben,

I guess I could do that but I'm not sure what that will accomplish. As I said, my DVR used to show % used and now it shows number of recordings. So, what does the model number have to do with my issue?

@user_86aeef it sometimes happens that we customers are not aware of the exact devices in use in the home. The model number will show it either is or is not a physical DVR. What you describe is a device that is seeing the service as a cloud DVR.

@Rustyben except if you read what he posted, he said that he had been seeing the percent full, now he's not! Hard to have this condition without it being a DVR.

Thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums @user_86aeef. Our team would be happy to help. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet? It could be an error from a recent software update. First, power-cycle the cable box if you have not done so already. Our expert @Rustyben is correct, having the model number/style of the cable box you use will help us troubleshoot the issue moving forward.

I am not showing any type of known issue at this time regarding DVR storage. You should be able to see the percentage using these steps. To see your current storage, press the xfinity button on your remote, then click Saved, then Recordings. You will see the % in the top-right of the screen, listed above your recorded programs.

I am sorry this has been causing you trouble, but I am sure working together we will get to the bottom of this. Our team will be on standby!

I just power failed my DVR and I executed the "About" command and it is still showing the number of recordings and not the %.

From the About command

  • Release version 15.2.0.0
  • Release Timestamp 8/5/22 8:16am
  • XRE Protocol version 2.8.0
  • Receiver Native version: 5.3.0
  • There is also a device ID
  • Environment h1a-fj

If that's what you wanted then why didn't you ask for it in the first place?

that is an xg2 a non-DVR. it has a coax cable connection and can support 3 xi3/xi3/satellite set top boxes.

Rustyben, Not sure what you are saying. What I do know is that I was able to see % full and then it disappeared.

Hello @jori.27 I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your DVR, this isn't the experience we want for our valued customers. At this time we don't see that there is any ongoing known issue with the DVR service, however we would be happy to take a look into this with your individual account. Please send us a DM using the instructions above and we would be happy to troubleshoot this issue.

I no longer work for Comcast.

No, someone told me that my DVR really isn't a DVR in that it doesn't actually contain any recorded videos and since then crickets

you may not actually have an in-home DVR. the cloud DVR is 150 hours so you can see what is used directly.
