DVR not recording top priority show despite plenty of space available

I am unable to record Seinfeld. I have tried numerous times to set it up and it does not record. I have tried individual episodes and also the series and nothing. It is my top priority show and I have only 40% space used. Please help.

Modify the Series Recording to do New and Repeats. The default to is New Only. Since the show is in repeats only it will never record. 

Go to the show. Hit Record Options. Select All Episodes. Then change the first line to New and Repeats. 

Should fix it.

Are other shows/movies recording as they should be?
