DVR no longer records

We got a Comcast DVR a couple of months ago, and it's mostly worked ok.

 

But suddenly it won't record programs, and our recorded programs seem to have disappeared.

 

When I try to record a program, it offers to remind, not to record. When I press the Xfinity button, and then press Saved, it shows reminders of programs I have just tried to set to record, instead of programs we had recorded.

 

Watching live TV still works fine, and so does watching Netflix.

 

Can anyone help?

I finally solved it. When I tried to record a live program, it said that I needed a DVR subscription -- which I already have. Once I got past the annoying Xfinity "Assistant" and was able to chat with a human, she was able to connect to my cable box and get it recording again.
