Dvr multiple duplicate scheduled recordings

I've run into a problem involving duplicate recordings being scheduled for series recording. I get it sometimes say when I have say MLB Extra Innings or NBA Pass team and have a series recording scheduled for one team so a recording gets scheduled on your teams MLB or NBA Pass channel as well as their opponents. But I'm running into a problem where for instance the Yankees in the 2024 World Series, I'm getting the game scheduled on my local Fox HD channel but upwards of as many as 2 or 3 spanish versions also being scheduled. Not only eats up DVR storage but creates clutter. Tried individually deleting the unwanted scheduled recordings but they just show as Canceled Recording and eventually come back showing up as being scheduled again in a few hours , the next day or if I make some change to another scheduled recording. If I try to cancel all future recordings for that specific channel instance, all series recoding for the Yankees including the desired english Fox broadcast gets canceled. Customer support first said it was something with our DVR box and given it's age recommended replacement which we did this week. But we are still have the same problem. Then they ran diagnostics and had us power cycle, etc. No report back about the diagnostics report and the problem persists. Again tried deleting individual scheduled recordings but they eventually reappeared today. Contacted Xfinity again and they went through the same tired troubleshooting eventually escalating the problem and sending a tech out for what good that will do. They said some of the initial diagnostics indicated the new DVR box was 'gray' as in something amiss with it but it's a brand new box. I really think it's a DVR and cloud programming capability issue. I've had some series recordings in the past exhibit similar behavior but found that they had an option to select specific channel as part of the SD or HD options in the series recording. They really need the series recording to always allow for selection of desired channels and language to eliminate recoding multiple instances and languages. But series recording does have benefit in affording the ability to record across different channels - just make it so it's exclusive to only one recording being scheduled not multiple instances. Oh, I won't go into that every time I start a chat, it's an opportunity for them to try to upsell services and lock into a 24 month term to save a few bucks when I really don't even need the 800 Mbps speed we already have. Just fix my problem without turning it into a sales pitch.

I have the exact same issue.  It’s very aggravating.  3 or 4 channels recording the same game.

Same problem with recording England Premier League soccer games. Fix should be easy - since all the programming is flagged as eng or esp - add an option to record english language only
