Dvr manager on tv remote app

Why does the DVR manager no longer appear on the Tv remote app? Now I either have to watch my recordings on the streaming app or get up and use my regular remote on my tv.  Help?

@casey710, that is a great question! Just to make sure we rule out some of the more basic things, are you sure you have the most up to date version of the app? Have you also rebooted the device to see if that helps anything? If you have tried all the basic things and you are still having an issue, you can also send me a DM as well!

yes I have the the updated version. My complaint is about your app in my iPad. My service is fine…..it’s your APP. I’m not the only one complaining about this. Check out all the complaints on the app store.  Now not only does the dvr manager function on the app disappear and reappear but now the listing grids don’t appear which makes this app totally useless.  And please don’t ask me if a need a real remote control like the last agent did.  I have remotes. I don’t understand why you guys don’t understand all of us are upset about your APP that won’t work anymore. Is there is a reason why you can’t get this fixed? Once again, I feel like the more I pay Xfinity, the less I get. It’s almost funny. Almost.

@casey710 I'm sorry about the trouble with the app. It is not our intention to complicate things for you. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the app? What generation iPad are you using? This could cause an issue as well.

I agree. I also am having problems with my xfinity remote on my ipad. The DVR Manager disappears and reappears. I have NOT been able to use it for the past few days. It previously worked fine for months. Now the past couple of weeks very spotty and most of the time is just gone from app.

I am also having the same issue….disappearing DVR function.  I have tried ALL the recommended fixes, to no avail!  Looking for a solution!

Uninstalled and reinstalled.  When I opened app the DVR manager button was there for 2 seconds then disappeared again

Same here. The Xfinity app on my iPad no longer works correctly.

The DVR Manager icon in the dock disappears, disabling access. And while the Guide icon in the dock doesn’t disappear, when you click it you get the channels on the vertical access and the times on the horizontal access, but no content. The boxes for the program names are there, but blank, like an empty spreadsheet.

This is recent. Last few weeks maybe. But persistent.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention @user_634517. I am sorry this function is not working correctly. We are aware of the problem and have been working towards a solution ASAP. For the time being, we ask that are customers manage recordings using the website or your cable box. I understand this is not ideal, but we are working towards a fix. Thanks for being patient and understanding!
