DVR Cutting Off Program Early

I can’t locate if Xfinity officially resolved the issue. However coincidentally, I had to replace my X1 box due to failure and the new X1 box does not cut off DVR recordings a minute or more early at all. I can safely and quickly just set a recording without having to manually extend times or worry if I will miss the climax of any recorded program.
