DON’T TURN OFF MY TV!!!!!!!

Dear Xfinity,

Change the Power Save option so that it leaves the TV on all the time regardless if there is prompt telling me if I’m still there! I need my TV on all night because it keeps away the thieves and acts as a safety net for me and my family. SO AGAIN SEND AN UPDATE OUT TO MY BOX THAT ALLOWS THE TV TO CONTINUE THROUGHOUT EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME LASTING OVER 8 HOURS OF CONTINUAL PLAY WITH OUT PUTTING THE TV INTO POWER SAVE MODE!!!!!!!! Or else I’m going to get service through RUKU and will be forever divorced from you, Xfinity the OLD CABLE COMPANY

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_8e044s! Have you adjusted the Power Saver and the HDMI-CEC settings on your cable box to off? This article here has a guide on how to adjust both settings. Based on what you’ve mentioned, I recommend turning both settings off. Also, you may want to check the settings on your TV to see if it also has any settings that automatically turn it off.

Please stop gaslighting us by repeating the same instructions for power save and nap mode that you know darn well do not fix this.  YOU know that there is NO way to keep cable box on.  YET xfinity keeps on sleep mode so its still eating energy to spy on us.  YOU claim this saves is $$ but its only 11cents a night.  I looked it up.  We should be able to chose to opt out of power save and sleep. WE PAY XFINITY TOO MUCH.  They should not get to take away our right to control our own TV usage!! Many of us rely on TV for background noise for grandma or dog or anxiety.  Reduce BILL by HALF THE COST THEN if we are paying for only use 3-5 hours at a time. YOUR customers have been complaining in forum abt this for 5 yrs!! NEED ACTION.
