Do I need another box if I want to add another television?

Do I need another cable box if I want to add another television to my viewing set-up? My basement television has been primarily a netflix machine, but was considering adding cable channels, depending on price, but I can find NOTHING explaining how much an additional box might BE, much less if I actually need one. Can anyone help with this? I can't get the search function to actually DO anything on the website. Thanks.
