Do I need a dvr box

I’m getting conflicting info. I only have one tv (Fire). In order to record multiple shows at the same time and then watch them later do I need a dvr box or will everything be available on the Xfinity stream app? If I need the box is there an additional fee associated with my basic cable package (150 hours of storage is more than enough for my needs).
