Disney plus freezes on commercials

Question

Apparently this is a common and Xfinity problem. I cannot watch an hour-long Disney Plus program, freezes during commercials and if I can finally exit out (it isn’t easy) and restart I am subjected to more ads and more freezing! Looks like this is something Xfinity needs to fix based on the number of complaints you have received. Ready to cancel my Disney Plus subscription and let them know this is on Xfinity. Time to switch to [Edited: Soliciting].

I have the same problem, and there are other threads talking about Disney+ freezing going back a year. My husband has been on every forum, troubleshooting every “fix”, and nothing works. We have Firesticks for two other TVs and have no problem watching Disney+ on those. It’s incredibly frustrating to know this is an ongoing issue between Xfinity and Disney going on for a year now, and neither one is taking accountability for making a fix.
