Disable HDR Output on XG1v4 Box

Fox offers some sports events in 4K HDR, which display too dark with overly bright whites on my LG OLED TV.  It's bad enough that I watch those events in HD instead of 4K.  I am wondering whether there's a way to disable the HDR element of the X1 output to see whether it is responsible for the brightness issues.  I did not find an option in settings.  This is only a problem with the Fox Sports events, other content in 4K HDR looks fine.   Thanks.

Hello @blslander. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our Xfintiy Community Forum for help with HDR on Fox. If you have your X1 settings set to Prefer Best Available Resolution, your program will autotune to 4K. If you want to manually change your video resolution after setup, you can do so from the Setting Menu. Also, if you choose to view On Demand content (for free, rental or purchase) that's available in 4K, playback will automatically default to the appropriate 4K color depth based on your TV’s capabilities.

Please see this link for a walkthrough on how to adjust this from the X1 Settings menu.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance!

@XfinityElizabethA Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't address the specific question I asked.  Yes, I am on Best Available and I get 4K with HDR when the source is encoded that way.  I want to know if there is a way to have the X1 pass 4K without HDR.  My Roku has such a setting.  As noted in my original post, I'd like to find out whether the overall darkness and bright whites on Fox Sports 4K HDR broadcasts are a result of HDR.  I want the 4K video resolution, but without HDR, and I don't see any settings for that and it is not addressed in the help note you linked.
