Daily updates whats the purpose?

There is no way that software changes in a 24 or 48 hr time span! Its your system snoopy on what Im watching.  No one hasn't figured this out? Left Dish for this.

When it comes to our X1 cable boxes, there is a Daily Update that occurs to ensure your cable box has the latest software. This is a feature that is within the cable equipment to ensure that your programming, interfaces, system processes, and everything else operate as expected. These updates pertain to ensuring our customers' usability, not recording our customers' activity. If you are having issues with the time your Daily Update takes place, you can always change it.
