connecting to mac studio display

Xfinity service tech said that I needed an HDMI to USB-C to see on the Mac Display. I got the cable and still see nothing onscreen! Please help!

No, trying to display Xfinity cable box content onto a Mac display...preferably picture-in-picture so can work on computer with TV screen in the corner.
