connect X1 box to ethernet

I just received an Xfinity XG1 box. I hooked it up to a coaxial outlet & for the most part, all works good. receive all channels as needed. I did noticed that accessing apps (Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc) is kind of sluggish compared to my Fire stick.

Would hooking the box up to a hardline ethernet connection maybe help load & run these apps faster? Or is it just the nature of the box's hardware. I realize this box is not the latest hardware so maybe its just the way it is

If so, what is the latest and fastest running Xfinity box for loading apps?

@mfranch88 Hello and good afternoon. Thanks for posting to the community. We appreciate it, and are happy you thought of us to assist. We have the best tools, just like the Xfinity Assistant. It is the best resource to manage the account and service online when we are not available. It is my favorite as I can check the service health, and also reboot the wifi for dinner time. That ensures the kids come to eat, and that makes me very happy. Here is a link that I found for you to make it easy to use https://www.xfinity.com/xfinityassistant/. The XG1 is great, and I'm happy to read everything is working. There are recommendations to connect by ethernet for some boxes, such as the wireless ones. The X1 platform does pair the cable and internet signal to have the best experience. Try the ethernet connection to get the best performance.
