Commercials Interrupting

We have two TVs playing the Astros game – one Xfinity and the other on Roku. About once an hour the Astros game on Xfinity is interrupted by local commercials during live play. The Roku TV continues to show the game. Why is this happening? It needs to stop.

@user_n78r2u Broadcasts can be interrupted by local commercials. The streaming option can also be interrupted with standard or non-local interruptions. The content and ad spaces are managed by the networks.

So Space City network chooses to play ads during the middle of an at bat on xfinity but not on Roku? Seems strange. And a reason to watch on Roku instead of xfinity.

@user_n78r2u That is correct. We are a medium that broadcasters use to send their signal out to as well as other providers so that consumers can view their products. Their agreement with Roku is most likely different then the one they have with us. Check out our section about how it works.
