Comcast XR15 Remote to control Audio Receiver power on/off

I paired my xr15 remote to my tv (lg) and audio receiver (bose) and now I can power both on with the universal power button.  The issue is sometimes the audio receiver turns off and I cannot power it back on without using the all-on power button, and naturally that powers off the tv when i power on the reciever. I would like to have a power on button option for the audio reciever in addition so that i can power it on without powering off the tv.  How can I do this.  I am trying of course to not have to use my bose audio remote control at all and use just the xfinity xr15 remote.  Can I program one of the ABCD buttons on the xr remote for this?  Thanks

Sorry, no, the button’s abilities can’t be changed.

Ok thanks helpful but unfortunate.  Can you or someone help me with another solution that will solve my problem?  How can I power on the aux audio device without powering off my tv?  I am trying to use just one remote, which i believe is the intent of the remote

The XR15 only has only the one power button. If just turning off the receiver is what you want, keep your receiver remote handy

Hello, u/Raw1122, if you have an XR15 hold the Mute and Xfinity buttons to walk through the pairing steps. After you do this you will get a question that asks if you want to pair the remote to other receivers or devices. I hope this can help! This is a nice resource to use for activating remotes. https://comca.st/38c4uhq

Right! I have a similar issue. With the XR5 remote, it had a TV Power button and an All Power button. We could turn off and on the TV without it affecting the Audio Receiver. That way at night we could listen to the quiet music provided by Comcast without the bright light of the TV being on. Now, with the new XR15, that is no longer an option. Everything turns off at once, and I have to get out of bed to turn just the Audio Reciever on. I'm sorry that you chose to remove such a great feature as the TV Power button.

Hello, @JudyS. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us through Forums. Have you tried paring your remote with other devices by going to the following link: https://comca.st/3z42PVT;
