Choppy cable box

I'm on my 2nd HD box with both having the same issue. It seems to be random times and channels that I have extremely "choppy" streaming making certain channels unwatchable, which is completely unacceptable at $300 a month for your services. Reading some other posts, I can see this is a recurring issue. Is there any fix other than switching to another provider?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out using Xfinity Forums, @user_a8baa5. I can't imagine the headache this has caused you. First, pixilation and reception issues are normally caused from a loose connection/interference. I would like to rule out the basics with you to start.

-Can you check the coax cable at the wall and the cable box? Please make sure all connections are finger tight.

-If you connect using a splitter, please make sure the connections are tight around the splitter as well. You may also want to consider replacing the splitter (we offer replacements at the Xfinity store free of charge).

-If you have an amplifier in the home, you will want to make sure it is plugged in and light is showing green.

-Lastly, don’t forget about the HDMI cord. These cords can come loose and cause reception issues. I recommend removing the cord completely, checking for damage, and plugging it back in.

Our team will be here to help, once you have confirmed none of these are causing an issue. I am sure working together we will get to the bottom of this!

So frustrating! Especially when they have just increased prices! Today I noticed channels 537,538 & 539 are now called MGM+. No notification given, just deleted the original channels & popped in MGM+. Which I’m sure we will have to pay for eventually.

Xfinity why did you delete my post about my choppy channels? I have multiple channels that I can't watch due to movements on them not being smooth. Almost like someone is pressing pause then play continuously.  For $300 a month service, this is completely unacceptable. Someone needs to figure this out and not try to hide it in your forum. I'm waiting for a reply, again....
