CHANNEL CHANGE PROBLEM WITH XFINITY REMOTE

MY REMOTE SUDDENLY WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO CHANGE CHANNELS OR VIEW CHANNELS PREVIOUSLY VISITED WHEN PUSHING THE "LAST" BUTTON. SHOULD I ASSUME THAT MY REMOTE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE?

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forums, @user_13b60e! We can definitely try to get your remote working properly, and if that doesn't work, get you set up with a new one. Are any of the functions of your remote working? I know you cannot view anything when using the "last" button, but are you able to view the channel guide?

Nothing works on my xfinity remote. Power (on/Off) is controlled by my Hisense Roku TV controller. Channels are controlled by Xfinity remote.

Oh, no! So sorry to hear! I can definitely understand how this can be super frustrating for you. Is your remote flashing any particular color like red or green? Is it able to do any functions at all? If possible, can you go ahead and remove the batteries from the back and let me know which remote you have, please? There will be a sequence of numbers there, it should start with XR and then a number. Thanks!

when you press a cable set top box related button (xfinity, exit, up/dow, etc) what color(s) does the LED flash on your remote control? do you have more than one xfinity set top box in your home (swapped remotes?).

.@user_13b60e Have you tried out this link yet? https://comca.st/3Tm9GF4 This can normally determine if you need a new remote or not. Let us know how it goes.
