Can’t rewind dvr when first turning on

I am no longer able to rewind the dvr when I first turn it on in the morning. I also cannot rewind what’s on in the background after watching a recorded show like I used to be able to do. Someone gave a suggestion to turn off cec in power settings but I don’t even have that as an option.

turn off powersave?

Power save is off. I found another post where someone else has the same issue. Apparently it’s due to an update

check your set top box CEC setting to be sure it is off.

CEC Setting is not the answer. I tried that, did not work.

I saw that mentioned somewhere else, I don’t have that option, at least not under the setting the other post mentioned

xfinity button >> gear (settings) >> Device Settings >> Power Preferences >> HDMI Device Control - CEC (change to off)

This is all I have for options and it’s not when I turn off during the day, it’s only overnight.
