CANNOT WATCH ANYTHING ON HBO MAX

We are paying for HBO MAX, and cannot get through ANY programming without the TV going black, an bd then either kicking us out to the last channel we were watching by prior to HBO MAX, or we get 3 dots blinking in succession, and it continues forever.

 Do we have a weak signal, a weak internet signal (e we also get constant messages on the TV that the box can’t connect to the internet.

 We have had every tech that services our area here to fix it.  No go.  We’ve changed boxes more times than I can count, to no avail

Hi...  I had the same black screen appear with HBO/MAX and found this fix in the forum. It might work for you also. It said it was because I changed my HBO/MAX account password.... And this fix (cleaning out your Xfinity  app/data files )  worked.. it may also  fix other problems to clean it out once in awhile.

You will need to clear all of your app data. Use your Xfinity Remote and TV.

1) Press the xfinity button on your Xfinity remote

2) Go to settings (the gear icon)

3) Click Privacy in the list

4) Click  Clear cookies and local storage data  --- and try log in your HBO/Max again.

@BlueJeans07 YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!!  This worked!  The issue isn't gone, but it is MUCH much better!  We weren't able to watch a movie for more than 5-6 minutes, and it would stop, start spooling, and then we'd get kicked out of the app and back to network TV.  Now we can watch and only have one or two disruptions.

@user_0ba318   You are welcome...glad it helped.  maybe if you try the clearing again maybe will be better, if you had a lot of old app/data stuff sitting there, it might need doing it again to get it all out.  I clear it once a month now that I know where it is.
