Can X1 DVR w remote boxes coexist with Tivo Bolt and Tivo mini on same MoCa network?
I have the folowwing configuration which has worked for years:
X1 DVR w/ 2 remote boxes (which I believe use MoCa, with the DVR serving as a MoCa server)
Tivo Bolt w/ Cablecard (mine) (connected via Coax and WiFi)
LinkSys CM3024 data modem (mine)
TPLink C9 Archer router (mine)
Arris Voip modem (Comcast supplied)
This has worked fine for years.
I am now adding a Tivo Vox Mini to this, which will have to use MoCa since there is no way to get a hardwired Eth to it. When plugged in to a coax outlet that previosuly had one of the X1 remote cable boxes on it (working), I hoped the Tivo Mini would connect to the Tivo Bolt via MoCa - but it can't find any DHCP server.
Is this X1/Tivo/Mini heterogeous netowk supported?
Will the X1 DVR act as a MoCa server for the Tivo Mini?
Is there a setting that needs to change in the X1 or Bolt?
Do I need a separate MoCa bridge? (wouldn't this create 2 conflicting MoCA networks?)
Thank You

you may need to ask about that on the TiVo forum not on the xfinity forum. there should be some information there on tuning the MoCA adapter to a separate frequency for TiVo.

Hi, d2i. Thanks for posting! With 3rd party equipment the info we have can be limited, but we will do our best to provide you with as much support on it as we can. To start, I wanted to send you some links that I came across - as they may be helpful. This one: https://comca.st/2PXGR1E and this one: https://comca.st/2PXGR1E. There is a section in the TiVo link that outlines connecting it via MoCA. For further device specifics and compatibility, I would do as Rustyben mentioned and discuss/confirm with TiVo support directly. Let us know if you run into any complications or if further questions arise.

Thanks - Tivo says contact Comcast.
Is the X1 MoCa network encrypted - if so can I get the key?
When I enable MoCa (instead of WiFi) on the Tivo Bolt, it says it can't find the DHCP server.
I also wonder if the Tivo Bolt and Mini need to be registered with X1 so it will assign them an IP address.

we just have no way to support 3rd party equipment. perhaps tivo has a forum? the MoCA adapter's manufacturer might offer support. I used MoCA adapters at one time (now have ethernet wired wireless access points) and found procedure to tune to a different frequency than the comcast equipment. Comcast is not going to accept the MoCA adapters on its in-home MoCA network.
