Can the X15 Remote's "TV Input" button switch Between a Denon AVR's Inputs?

I have my Comcast Cable Box connected to a Denon Receiver input with an HDMI cord (Input 1).  I also have a Firestick connected to another Denon Receiver input with another HDMI cord (Input 2).  The Denon AVR Receiver then feeds my Samsung television with 1 HDMI cord.  So if I want to switch between Comcast Cable or Firestick, I need to switch between these 2 inputs on the Denon Receiver.  I have the Comcast X15 remote paired with the Samsung television and the Denon AVR Receiver, which allows me to successfully...

- Turn the television and Denon Receiver on and off.

- Turn the AVR Receiver's volume up and down when watching either Comcast Cable or Firestick.

- Change the Comcast cable channels.

The issue I have is, I want to switch between Input 1 and Input 2 on the Denon Receiver so that I can either watch Comcast television or Firestick.  I push the "TV Input" button on the top left of the remote.  When I do this, it tries to switch the TV input, but I do not need it to switch the TV input because I am only using 1 Input on the TV (1 HDMI cable).  I would like for the remote to be able to switch the Denon Receiver's between Input 1 and Input 2.

Does the X15 remote have this capability?

What I could do (which I'd rather not) is feed the television with 2 HDMI cords instead of 1 HDMI cord.  That way when I push the TV Input, it will switch between the 2 inputs.  I'm trying to avoid this, but if this remote cannot do what I am trying to get it to do, it might be my only option.  The fact that the remote can control the Denon Receiver's volume and Power leads me to believe that there has to be a way to control the Denon Receiver's Input.

@5arnolds Hi there, thanks for the post. Sadly, the remote's input capability is only with the inputs with the TV. The remote doesn't have the capability to control multiple inputs separately. I will say that's a great idea that hopefully in the future our remotes can do that. I think the best trick is to go with the two HDMI cords.

@XfinityJodie thanks for confirming that this won’t currently work. In my case I have 4 different HDMI sources so have to use my AVR to switch between them; the TV doesn’t have enough. It will be great if the X1 team could add this feature!

I don't understand how a $20 fire stick can tell me denon to switch to it but the x1 box can't. Ridiculous.
