can only record one show at a time
I am a new user of Xfinity X1. Is there a reason I can only record one show at a time? If I attempt to schedule a new show at the same time as one already scheduled, one of them is cancelled due to a "conflict". I thought I could record two at a time on Xfinity TV.

Hello and good morning, and thank you for reaching out over our Xfinity Community Forums. Thank you also for choosing to join our X1 family. I am so sorry to hear about these conflicts you are seeing when trying to record, and I would be more than happy to help! With DVR service on X1, you can record up to six shows at once, depending on the DVR you chose (some of our DVR's only allow 5 shows at once). If you set up more than your maximum recordings that air at the same time, you may be presented with a conflict notification. You can choose to record your new program and cancel the lowest priority program or just cancel the new recording request. The recording should also display an icon in the guide or program information to indicate it will not record. You can learn much more about how our X1 DVR service works by clicking here https://comca.st/3CR93gM. Are you able to try recording two other shows at one time, to see if the conflict is indeed related to the two shows sharing the same name, or something else?

This issue does not have to do with having the same name, nor with priority setting. It appears to be random. See the attached screenshot. At 12:00 both shows are scheduled to record correctly. However, at 1:00, one was cancelled (Deadline White House) by the software due to a "conflict". There are the only two shows being requested to record at a time. Both shows should record at 1:00. (I checked the start/stop times and there is no overlap in any of the time-adjacent shows.) This is just a sample that I set up for demonstration. It happens all the time...

do you have an actual physical DVR in your home? or just using the cloud DVR? there are two levels of cloud only DVR a limited 2 tuner version and a regular 6 tuner. first one is limited to 20 hours, while 2nd is limited to 150 hours.
If you have the two tuner service or are not using X1 equipment (post would be in wrong area of the forum) then check the recording options for the two at one time. if they are set to record 'more' time at end of scheduled programming, then the tuners would not be available to record the next program as they are already in use. The X1 system won't record the 'conflict' when a tuner becomes available.

you probably haven't seen a bill yet but you'll know if you have full DVR service if you see the DVR charge on your bill on its own line or 'included' in the package. A home DVR 'box' is not needed to have DVR service (your box will stream from the cloud DVR). note that cloud DVR recordings are currently only in stereo 2.0. you can quickly test by picking a time you are near TV when you do not have scheduled recordings and tune to a channel and press the record button (called a hot recording as opposed to scheduled recording). Then tune to a different channel and hit record. after you repeat for 6 channels then press the Xfinity button and look at recordings in progress. see all 6 recording?
