Can I watch Cable on a TV in another room not connected to a cable box?

I have a TV connected to a XG1V4-A box and it works correctly.

Can I watch cable on a second TV (connected via coax) in another room not connected to the box? Do I need 2nd cable box?

No, you cannot simply connect it to another coax jack.  You can ask for a second cable box, but the other options are much cheaper and work just as well.  I personally use a Chromecast with Google TV.  When I want to watch it in a room without a TV, I use xfinity Stream on my ipad.

Many modern TVs will allow you to install the xfinity stream app on them. If your TV allows this, you can install the app and watch TV thru it.  Be aware that since you are using the internet to stream channels, it will count against your data cap.

Alternatively, your TV may support screen mirroring with compatible devices.  You open the xfinity stream app on your device, and then mirror it to the TV.

Thanks for the suggestions, but my question hasn't been answered.

Can I watch cable on a second TV (connected via coax) in another room not connected to the box without having to resort to streaming or screencasting? Do I need 2nd cable box?
