Can I tell my xfinity dvr to only store on my x1 box and not in the cloud?
We switched from the X1 cloud dvr to the older style Arris X1 box (model MX011ANM). We did not like the limitations on cloud recordings and the slow response with the remote when accessing the recordings.
I don't want anything stored in the cloud. I want it all on my dvr hard drive.
Is there any way to set this as a parameter?
If I look at my list of recordings, can I tell where they are stored?

cloud is automatically last 60 hours or so of recordings. the kid's TV since no set top box could have a roku device attached instead for them to use. The mx011anm (I had 3 at one time in the home) have intermittent audio issues and very slow menu response.
to see what is in the cloud use your smart phone/tablet/desk/laptop. to see what is on your hard drive only use the xfinity TV remote app, and view recordings there. at this time the X1 menu system does not allow you to display 'cloud only' recordings as to the source. If the local DVR was not working during the recording time period of a scheduled event the cloud copy will be available to the physical DVR. while playing a recording, press the "OK" button. on lower left is either "DVR" or a cloud-icon with "DVR".
