Can I move this A/C Adapter?

I am making built in cabinets in a room where they have installed a Comscope A/C adaptor Model AD48-1500500DU into the only cable outlet.  It plugs into the electical outlet, and has one coax output to the adjacent cable outlet.

What does this do?

Can it be moved to another cable outlet in house, or does it have to be on this one?

I was planning to move this box up the wall, above the cabinets and behind where TV will now go (TV runs off the Xfinity app right now, but don't want to lose access to the cable outlet here

Hello and thank you for reaching out to us on forums. It looks like this would be an adapter for an amplifier to boost your signal for the connection, but I would like to look further into this for you.

You have an amplifier. The amplifier is remote powered through that cable outlet. You could move it to a another unused cable outlet but you would also need to make sure that the unused cable outlet is on a certain port of the amp, replacing what’s there now. You could also move it to a cable outlet used by a cable box but you need a special splitter supplied by a tech. Start by tracking down your cables and look for the amp and post the model
