Cable box slow to respond

I have very similar problems, very slow to respond. 1) From when you press a command on the remote until the box gets the command. 2) The box responding to the commands, like change a channel.

Hi @user_b9c221, welcome to the Xfinity Forums community! I am sorry to hear your box is responding slowly to the commands. I understand that can cause a serious headache. I am sure working together we will get to the bottom of this. First, what type of cable box do you have? Do you know the model? Is the box wireless? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far (resetting the box, checking the connection are tight, repairing the remote)?

This happened to me as well not long ago.  There are 3 things you can try - unplug your modem and wait for about 1 minute and replug...this resets/refreshes your modem; or you can  restart your X1 box by using the settings/help/restart or system refresh; also check to make sure your X1 box is not getting too hot by being enclosed in a stand, etc. make sure the X1 box is getting enough air circulating around it.

None of this works. Comcast set appointment but I think we’re just going to switch. Too many of these chronic issues.
