The main stand-alone 4K box is the XG1v4, but it's VERY hard to get lately. Comcast has been pushing the Xi6, which requires a Comcast gateway to work.
@user_a1d91f For a stand-alone box, the XG1v4 is the only 4K capable one. The Xi6 is a similar box, but it has no internal tuners. It requires a RENTED Comcast gateway that you use for your Internet service as it gets it's video through the Internet. It needs the Comcast gateway as it uses a special internal connection to access the video servers.
I get so confused on this stuff! I have the internet and I pay 14.00 a month for a modem rental, is that what would be the gateway? So I definitely need to get a different box to be able to view in 4K UHD QLED?

I upgraded two XiD-C high definition boxes to the 4K Xi6 wireless boxes. Both connected to my Netgear router with no problems. What I really wanted was a 4K box with a coax connection, but it seems that's not an option. The tech I spoke to said the boxes wouldn't count against my data limits, so we'll see.
