Buffering om hbo max through xfinity and sony smart tv help

Hello, @Jfmatalone thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I use the HBO Max App a lot myself, and understand wanting that to be accessible without buffering. On the X1 set-top box, clearing stored data is a helpful clearing a lot of App issues, if you haven't done this recently: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-clear-cookies-and-local-data-storage

With you mentioning that you're also experiencing the same buffering issues on a Smart TV, the issue may be with the App itself and not our equipment. There are some great self-help troubleshooting steps you can run for the TV through the Xfinity App if you haven't attempted these before: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/tv-troubleshoot-xfinity-app

HBO Max is the only channel where we experience buffering when we watch through the Xfinity app. All other premium and streaming channels seem to be fine. We are having a hard time watching the various shows we want to enjoy on HBO.
