Bluetooth - Nooe!

There is nothing to allow me to connect my Bluetooth devices to my tv.  I went to audio (Xfinity-settings-audio) but it only shows the Dolby input and output.  When say “Bluetooth” on the remote the message is always “Bluetooth hardware is not available” - Surely this cannot be correct! If so, I don’t need XFinity!

Hello @user_3a60b6! Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with setting up Bluetooth to your Flex or X1 box, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance. First, you will need to have a compatible box (XG1v4, Xi5 and Xi6). If you do then please follow the instructions below:

  1. Press the Xfinity button on your remote, then select Settings (Gear icon).
  2. Navigate to Device Settings > Audio > Bluetooth Devices.
  3. Select Bluetooth Devices. Your X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box will search for nearby Bluetooth-enabled devices that currently are in pairing mode.
  4. Select the device that you want to connect from the list displayed, then press OK on your remote.

Please keep in mind you will only be able to connect one Bluetooth device to your X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box at a time; however, that Bluetooth device can still be paired with other equipment. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

I must not have been clear.  I have done those steps multiple times in order to find "Bluetooth Devices" - it is not listed under the XFinity -Device Settings - Audio.  I have even tried to reset the box.  There is not a "Bluetooth Devices" option.

@user_3a60b6, I apologize and thank you for clarifying for me. The "Bluetooth" option should pop up right at the top when you go into your voice settings. Do you know if your box is one of the compatible boxes? Please don't share your modem information, just the model. If you are not sure then I would need you to reach out to us in a private message to look more into this. If you could send our team a private message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this right away.

To send a Private Message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, and then type or select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a live chat.

This is a software glitch with the x1 and flex box. Mine showed the exact same thing "no Bluetooth hardware found" this started showing up after a firmware update happened . I never had issues before. I suggest you exchange your box for a different one.
