Black splotchy video issues

The last two nights after midnight, I’ve had horrible video issues. I can best describe it as black splotches all over and static. When it happened last night it was during a “maintenance” outage window and I couldn’t change the channel or do any functions, so I didn’t think much about it and went to bed. Video quality was fine all day today. However, once again tonight the poor video is back. It’s happening on all channels, DVR shows, and Netflix, so basically anything I do through the box. TV is fine as video on Apple TV looks just fine. I’ve checked all cables, restarted the box, and did a system refresh. Issue still persists. Help!
