Apple TV+ 3-month free promo...?

So, I've been trying all day to get the free 3-month trial. Every time I go through the process, I hit a brick wall at the "create an Apple ID" point. Now, the promo has actually disappeared from the Xfinity X1 menus completely! So, have I lost the opportunity to get three months free?

Well, this morning, the problem was resolved and I was able to enroll using the promo.

@user_656ca5​ on my remote, I press the xfinity button, down arrow (highlights offer), then "enter" on remote and follow directions to resend.

@user_656ca5 You will need the promotional code in order to sign up. We do not have the option available on our end. Please note if you are already subscribed to Apple TV previously, you are not eligible for the 3 month promotion.

Not working for me either. I have an apple id and a payment associated. I was on the phone with Xfinity for 45 mm Wednesday night and they never fixed it, and told me they would call Thursday..I'm still waiting on that call.

call back xfinity but advise that pain in the you know where automated system you want to cancel.  You will immediately connect to a live person who will fix your issue

I signed up for the 3 month promotion and my sign-up was confirmed with a promotion and date noted on the confirmation. Now while attempting to activate my promotion, I keep getting only the 7 day trial promotion option on the screen. I called Xfinity support and they verified I am, according to their records, enrolled in the three month program. They attempted to manually activate my 3 subscription...Without success. How do I get my 3 month subscription activated??

call and say you want to cancel your service.   You will immediately be connected to a real live person who will fix your issue.   Their automated system stinks and xfinity is going back to the old days when they were noted for poor customer service

I, too, spent over an hour with the same unsuccessful attempts to create the account in order to activate the 3-month free promo.  Now, I find that I am receiving one week free. How can I rectify/change this to the Xfinity offer?

Xfinity, this is utter nonsense.  I'm having the same problems- I set up an Apple account with a payment option set, followed the guidelines from my TV, I've tried numerous times to have the text sent to my phone's e-mail, I've gotten links 4 times, logged in- and then, nothing but buffering.  How can you all accept so many complaints about bad customer service?  Someone from Xfinity should give us a # to call specifically, or e-mail contact, or whatever, to address this.  If Xfinity posts this offer all over the place on your TV, and the process is so complicated- you are doing something wrong.  Fix this already.

Sign Up and Log in to the Apple TV+ App on X1 and Flex

  1. Launch the Apple TV+ app on your X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box.
  2. You can Explore Apple TV+ or Sign In to the Apple TV+ app.
    • If you already have an account, select Sign in and press OK on your remote to enter the app.
    • If you don’t yet have an account with Apple TV+, select Explore Apple TV+ and press OK on your remote.
    • First time Apple TV+ customers are eligible for a three-month free promotion if you sign up via a link texted to you. See First Time Customer Promotion section for more information.
  3. An Activation Code and a QR Code will display. You can either:
    • Choose to use a browser on your PC or mobile device and enter the activation code at https://activate.apple.com to link your device, or
    • Capture the QR code using your mobile phone camera or QR code reader to access Apple’s sign in/sign up flow.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your billing details to complete your subscription.
    • To manage your subscription, go to https://tv.apple.com/settings.

I have been trying for days and no one can help me. I ask for a link to be sent to me because when I get to the screen on my tv to click "send text" I have clicked over and over and it jumps to enter number but I never receive the text.

I too have been trying for several days along with countless hours on the phone and on-line chats.  I was told there was a coding error on xfinity's end that would be fixed within 6-12 hours.  And, they assured me they would call me the next day to sign me up remotely.  That was 3 days ago, and of course no call back or fixed llink.  Pathetic!  Xfinity reps, if you really want to help, don't waste our time with posts of cut and paste segments from your website.  IT DOESN'T WORK!!!! Please provide the necessary fixes.

Have you by any chance used our famous My Account app to reset your cable box?

I had the same problem with xfinity- long holds and nobody knows anything about the free trial.  I finally got the free trial for 3 months on April 7. 

Here is how to do it.  Set up your account with Apple Tv online.    Once I set up the account, I called Apple Tv and got results.  Explained that the Promo Code Xfinity texted to me was rejected.  The agent was great;  she put me on hold for 5 minutes only;  gave me a Promo Code which I entered and I have it.   That agent knew more than the Xfinity agent.  It is difficult to understand how Xfinity cannot communicate!

I figured it out. The best way to do it is to say, "Try Apple T.V." into the Xfinity remote then input your phone number. The deadline has been extended to May 26th.
