4kDvr availability

I want to stay with my 4k DVR but having lots of freezing, error, can’t connect, etc. I put in a service call and the guy that came did not have a replacement DvR on the truck. He wanted to install 3 streaming boxes. For me and family we want to stay with the DVR but it appears they are being discontinued and are limited. He had one ordered for me and it will ship in 5-7 days. This is getting ridiculous. We like what we have the don’t want to stream locals and others. We do stream movies. We like the custom Guide, favs and recorded a lot of shows. Is there a better solution?
