4K Undetected UHD in Video Settings

I'm not getting 4K from my Xfinity set top box... It's not recognizing the TV's 4K Output

 

Xfinity Set Top Box - XG1v4 (VOR 16:9 1080p 60 HD (Best Available)

TV - 65" Class JU6700 Curved 4K UHD Smart TV (Going through Xbox One X which handles 4K. Both HDMI cables are High Speed 4K Compatible. (3840-2160 60 - TV picture going out)

 

Is this issue with my box? It's supposed to be compatible...

Current Video Settings:

4K UHD HDR You are currently set to the highest possible resolution.

4k UHD System Capability

4k UHD XG1v4

4K UHD Undetected

 

Video Output Resolution: 16:9, 2160p60 4K UHD (Best Available)

We appreciate you providing all the settings that currently show on your box @rhazelrig79. Are you connected from the cable box, directly to your TV?

Attaching directly to the TV is *not* an acceptable workaround, because it adds the inconvenience of an additional input switch on the TV when switching to/from the XG1v4. It also prevents the surround processor from capturing the enhanced audio formats that can’t be passed through the TV’s ARC.

rhazelrig79, this sounds like the settings on your TV box; have you also checked to ensure your X1 box is an XG1v4 box, and that the UHD setting is enabled on your box in the settings?

@ComcastDena been working in private message all day and they can not even reset my TV signal. Comcast has no idea why this problem is happening or how to fix it.

@rhazelrig79 Any updates on your 4k issue? I'm having the same problem. I've talked to both Xfinity and my yv manufacturer, no results. I have 3 tvs and only having this issue on one. So frustrating.

I have this same issue and I’m annoyed. From Comcast to Arcam AV860 AVR to LG CX OLED. I cannot even select 2160 on my Comcast box. It used to be set to this. Now best available is 1080P.

I’m going to try a new HDMI cable but it was working before same cable.

My 4k reciever accepts uhd from everything except the cable box. Kind of lame.
