4K Receiver

You recently replaced my XG1 receiver with an XG2 (actually it was replaced twice by your technician since one was an out-of-box failure). Your technician said they no longer provide XG1 receivers. I now realized the XG2 is not 4K capable. Why did you downgrade my equipment? How can I obtain a replacement receiver that is 4K capable?

XG1v4 is the 4K wired DVR.  Xi6 is the wifi 4K box.  Those are the only two 4K X1 boxes and have never heard that the XG1v4 is no longer available.

Comcast/XFinity should probably better educate their techs. I had an XG2 that was replaced twice and finally ended up with an XG1 at the suggestion of another forum member that worked well for 2 years. At this last visit when I asked how I could get an XG1, the tech told me they were too problematic and the XG2 was the only current receiver supported. This was after he had to replace the first XG2 box since it wouldn’t authorize.

There are several XG1 models, the XG1v4 is the only one that's 4K.
