4k Netflix not working also wont let me use 4k 60htz.
I just updated to the x1 4k box. I was using an apple 4k tv box and used netflix every day. When I hooked up the box the best resolution I could select was 4k 30htz which was weird but ok. The first thing I did after setting it up was to sign in to netflix and that's when I noticed that netflix was only letting me watch movies on HD and not ULTRA HD like I had in the past. What is even more weird is that the youtube app works great when there is a 4k video the little 4k symbol showes up and it works perfect. Now before you ask I am using a 4k tv with a 4k hdmi and my internet is 100 plus MG and its directly plugged into the tv. Please someone help me or let me know if you have the same problem thanks.

Not all 4k TVs have HDMI ports that support 4k/60. Check your TV's documentation and see if you need to use a particular port. You may want to swap cables or ports with the Apple TV and see if that fixes the problem.
My older Vizio M55-C2 , for instance, only had one port (HDMI 5) that could do 4k/60, the others could only do 4k/30. My current LG C9 has all 4 ports capable of this resolution.
