3rd party apps shutdown and rebook frequently while watching shows
Over the past several weeks while streaming shows from a 3rd party app, my X1 box randomly restarts itself. The box does not reboot while I'm watching other channels (like Food Network), only when using 3rd party apps and after a pause for a couple of minutes, it puts me into the last regular TV channel I was watching. Also getting intermittent reboots and connection errors unexpectedly.
have been working with a senior tech, but still unable to fix. Am on a totally wireless environment now… from gateway to the tv boxes. Have on the internet that many others are having this issue and have not been able to get it resolved.
What is causing this and what is the fix?
Have been with Comcast for over 25 years, but needless to say, we can’t continue with this and will need to go elsewhere if it can’t be resolved.

Hello @Bills.nashes1! Thank you so much for your loyalty over the last 25 years. We truly value having you in the Xfinity family, and I am so sorry to hear about the frustration these reboots have caused. It’s definitely not the experience we want for you, especially after all this time. Let's get this figured out together!
If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
