0000 displayed on front of box
For the last week, every morning I have to restart the cable box because it is stuck on "pick a language screen" and displays 0000 where the time usually is. The remote works but its like the box is not receiving the signal. After resetting the box, it will work. Sometimes it will last a few hours to half a day. Then it happens again. Tried costumer service 2 times and they never even answer the question. (Its like they have zero clue what I'm asking). The box is going on 5 years old. Is it just a matter of going and getting a new box? Its beyond ridiculous that xfinity is of zero help. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response here, Stickguy1. We will be waiting and ready to assist you once you get the new box and get it plugged in.

I just got new Dvr box a couple of weeks ago and now it is doing this!
unplugged it and it reset all ok but next day did it again.
Think I need another new box already in two weeks or what is the cause?
Will next new box do this too?

New box, but if it is a DVR expect to lose a fair amount of your recordings. No real way to back them up.
