Is there a data charge watching "live TV" using the Xumo box?

I use Xfinity Stream to watch "live TV" programs through the Xumo box. Is there a data charge? I've heard different answers to this question.

... Xumo box. Is there a data charge? ...

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xumo-app-faq says:

Note: Xumo Play usage counts toward your monthly internet data usage.

Thanks for your response. The info on Xumo Play sounds accurate but I feel I need to give more detail.

What complicates the answer to my question is that the Xumo box is only used to access Xfinity Stream. I use XS to look at Xfinity Stream's Live TV channels.

Thus, the question more specifically is whether or not I get deducted data points for using the Xumo box for accessing Xfinity Stream Live TV channels.

Trying to get a knowledgeable Xfinity customer service rep to give me an accurate answer is a challenge.

Hi there, @user_d4iz9w! Using the XUMO Box with the XFINITY Stream Live TV channels does count towards your data. This link may shed some more light : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/data-usage-what-counts-towards-my-data-plan

Specifically :

"All internet-based video streaming and download services, including internet-delivered programming available through xfinity.com/stream and Xfinity apps, are included in the calculation of monthly usage."

Let me know if you have any additonal questions!
