What happened to the old Home Page?!?!?! The new Discovery Hub [Edited]!!!

Hate the new Discovery Hub.  Too many sign in requests.  The old Home Page had news, entertainment, all that stuff wrapped into one.  Will be changing Home Page to news.google.com.   Are you trying to get rid of customers?

less is more an old quote but in this case less is terrible. the new hub is confusing and a sales page not a homepage

It took almost 40 minutes to find my email and TV with this New Discovery Hub Mess! Bring back our Home page where you just click on the icons!! BTW- Why can you no longer contact comcast?? My Bill went up and service got worse!!

I agree with everyone.  This new Discovery Hub is awful!  But comcast/xfinity doesn't care.  I have been a customer for almost 30 years.  They've done nothing but raise my price and give me less service.  I've already started the process of changing my email from comcast and once that is done...I'm getting rid of xfinity for good.  Xfinity takes the one thing that actually worked and that I liked (the old homepage) and gets rid of it so that they can push more of their products (which usually don't work like they are supposed to).

The Discovery Hub is totally useless. What is really terrible is the process of getting any answers from them. If you call them, you'll have to wait for them to call you back. They will connect you to someone who sounds like they're from India that you can't understand, and when they finally do understand, they haven't got a clue to any answers. Strangely enough, I lost the old homepage on my MacBook with Safari, but as of now, I still get it with Chrome.

Hate the new Home Page.  Wow, I guess it's not politically correct to be informative or educational with the news!!!  Marketing, Marketing, Marketing.  BRING BACK MY HOME PAGE!!

First we can't talk to you on the phone anymore, what good are these posts when you don't listen to us you don"t even answer are questions or have any solutions.  What I'd like to know is what brilliant mind or minds thought of this [Edit: Inflammatory] home page discovery hub.  Perhaps they get lost in there bedrooms or when there sleeping or both.  I am [Edit: Language] and all your responses to the posts of "thank you for letting us know because it helps us make improvements" thats a bunch of [Edit: Language].

I don't know anyone that is happy with this new HUB, and the complaints that are posted do indeed get referred as feedback.  Personally I have never used the Comcast/Xfinity homepage, but I know a lot of people did and liked the content.  [I did visit the homepage, though, when helping people with problems with it.]  We can only hope that the HUB will be undergoing changes over time that will bring back content that is more helpful.

Absolutely agree, if Comcast would only do A LITTLE PRE-RELEASE questionnaire of their existing customer base, things like this will not happen.  The problem now becomes that they must justify the abhorrent interface they have created and convince us that we should stay with them OR, as is much more likely, go to ANY other interface.  I will be saying good bye to Comcast if this is not changed back QUICKLY.

We pay a few hundred dollars a month for Comcast service and suddenly we get a useless homepage, with no notification. All the Discovery thing does is offer products. No news, no weather, no TV guide, etc. Please bring back the old homepage soon.

I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to find out why I couldn't connect to the "real" home page (the Hub page was useless and I felt that I must be being directed to it by mistake).  The 3 different people that I talked to had no idea that all of the info on the old home page had been deliberately removed, and kept trying to find the correct link.  I finally gave up and assumed that this bug would be fixed in a week or two.  It wasn't until I found this forum that I realized that the features that I was looking for had been deliberately removed.  If Xfinity doesn't restore the old home page, I will be resetting my home page to something else

I'm new to this forum- is it possible to edit comments after you send them? 

I see that I didn't specify that the 2 hours on the phone was talking to Xfinity tech support.  (getting thru to them is another horror story)

Yes, in the post your made in the upper right corner click on the three dots and you should see Edit.

Absolutely agree. The "Discover Hub" is horrible. It's nothing but Comcast ads trying to sell you more Comcast products. What marketing "genius" thought this would be a good idea?
