Someone changed my password?

I got a letter from Xfinity stating that my email password was changed. I did not change anything. My user name and password still work.

@user_5b0fd4, thank you for reaching out using the Community Forums page. It sounds like there is a chance this may have been a message received in error but better safe than sorry so let's take a closer look at things. You stated that you received a letter, was this a letter in the mail?

In the mail with the Xfinity logo on the envelope. The letter inside had the last 4 numbers of my account number.

OK, got it, sounds and seems legit. Did this in any way mention a data breach or other concern that would require that mandatory change?  We recently suffered a cyberattack that we are working to enforce against.

Nothing about a breach. Just said your password was changed. If you did not change it go to xfinity.com/chat

Well, let's take a look at what's going on then. Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your name and address and I'll be happy to help.
