Security block preventing access to payment portal
I have a security block on my account that is preventing me from being able to pay my bill online or by any electronic access. I have been through many rounds of troubleshooting with chat, phone, and in-person support at a retail store. None of these methods are able to resolve the issue. I need a high-level person with authority and access to remove the block from my account. That is the only way. No regular-level support person is going to be able to fix this issue--it's already been tried countless times. I am ready to file complaints with the BBB and FTC because of my frustration for all the time I have spent going in circles and re-explaining the problem over and over again without resolution.

Finally, I did get a call from a more informed rep at CSA who was able to get the right message to the security team and the restriction has been removed from my account.
It turns out there were a couple of failed payments within several months of payment history that are what likely triggered the restriction. But the rep explained that it likely was not due to using prepaid cards in and of themselves, but that the system does not always accept partial payments as opposed to a minimum amount amount, or covering the full balance, as was the situation in my case. For example, I attempted to pay an amount less than $10 as that was the balance available on the payment card I used. It would be helpful if Xfinity clearly state what the acceptable minimum payment amount is and/or any other caveats when paying electronically.
So, I am satisfied that the payment restriction has been removed. However, I will once again emphasize that it is ridiculous and unacceptable for Xfinity to have a system that can apply restrictions without the customer receiving a clear explanation of what causes a restriction and what recourse a customer has to address a restriction. So in cases like mine, that would mean contacting the CSA department right off the bat with that contact info provided. Don't tell people to contact general customer service as that is a complete waste of time which would accomplish nothing. Also, educate and inform staff at store locations of all this so they can instantly recognize this sort of problem and tell people excatly what they can do to address the problems.
This was much more hassle than it should have been, but I am glad it is finally resolved.

Hey @yoregano, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. While we would be unable to remove any blocks or security locks on the account, but if this is a basic access issue, we can certainly assist in troubleshooting.
If you do have any blocks or security locks, you would need to call our main support line at 1-800-XFINITY and ask to be transferred to our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team for further review.
Are you able to successfully log in to the Xfinity App and/or web portal online? If you are able to successfully log in, what error code/message is being received when attempting to access the billing and payment area?
Please walk us through all the steps you take along with any messaging that might be displayed so we can best assist in troubleshooting.

I received a call from an account specialist who explained what is happening. While the issue has not been yet resolved, at least it has been escalated to the right department and the case is being pursued.
